What is Airflow?

When choosing a blanket for your child’s cot, it’s essential to select one that maximises airflow. Since babies can spend hours in their cot, it’s important their bedding is as safe as possible.

An Airflow blanket is designed with this in mind. These blankets are made from breathable materials such as cotton or bamboo and have small, see-through holes that allow air to pass through easily.

Blankets made from wool, polyester, or tightly woven cotton or bamboo are not see-through and do not allow enough airflow. This makes them less safe if they were to come up over your baby’s face.
